Together 4 Youth (T4Y) is strengthening collaboration across Australia’s youth wellbeing sector, bringing organisations together to share knowledge, improve practice and ultimately create better outcomes for young people.
A strong example is the growing relationship with Inspiring Brighter Futures Foundation (IBFF), an organisation delivering mentoring and wellbeing programs designed to build confidence, resilience and brighter futures. T4Y’s model is built around provider collaboration, shared learning, capability building and evidence-informed practice, recognising that organisations can achieve more when they learn from each other.
Inspiring Brighter Futures Foundation Founder and CEO John Godwin is contributing directly to this collaborative approach as a Non-Executive Director of Together 4 Youth. With decades of experience across education and social impact, John brings practical knowledge of mentoring, youth engagement and community-based support to the T4Y network.
John recently attended a T4Y board meeting and the National Summit in Sydney, bringing together representatives from more than 20 youth-focused organisations from across Australia, including batyr, Raise Foundation, Youth Opportunities, Top Blokes, Elephant Ed, Ed Connect, Sammy D Foundation, Harrison Riedel Foundation, The Y NSW, The Youth Impact Foundation, Blue Light, PROJECT ROCKIT Foundation, Growing With Gratitude, Beacon Foundation, Waratah Foundation, Global Impact Australia, Big Brother Big Sister, among others.
The Summit provided an important opportunity to strengthen these connections and contribute the Foundation’s experience to broader discussions about the future of youth wellbeing. The workshop brought together organisations that put young people at the centre and heart of their purpose. There was a shared commitment to work together to help as many young people as possible become the best versions of themselves, access support and, in turn, contribute more fully to their local communities.
Personnel across the organisations have been connecting, sharing information and exchanging examples of best practice. These conversations help identify what is working, where challenges are being experienced, and how successful approaches can be adapted or strengthened.
It reflects the philosophy at the heart of Together 4 Youth: stronger partnerships create stronger systems of support. By encouraging organisations such as IBFF to share their experience rather than work in isolation, T4Y is helping build a more connected, capable and collaborative youth wellbeing sector.
