Mental Health First Aid Training

Free Mental Health First Aid Training for IBFF Facilitators and Mentors

You may be familiar with physical first aid, where you learn how to respond to injuries and medical emergencies. Mental Health First Aid training follows the same concept—equipping you with the skills to support someone experiencing a mental health challenge.

With 1 in 5 Australians experiencing a mental health issue each year, chances are you already know someone who could benefit from early support—whether it’s a family member, friend, colleague, or participant in IBFF programs. That’s why mental health is everyone’s business.

As an IBFF facilitator or mentor, you work with people who may be facing personal challenges. Understanding the basics of mental health conditions will empower you to provide better support. That’s why IBFF now offers in-house Mental Health First Aid training, led by our accredited instructor, Helen Winter.
