Australian Government backs IBFF with Safer Communities Funding

We are excited to announce that Inspiring Brighter Futures Foundation received a share in $20 million worth of government funding.

Inspiring Brighter Futures Foundation (IBFF) received major financial support from the Australian Government earlier this year, being awarded part of the $20 million Safer Communities Grant.

An initiative which began in 2016, the Safer Communities Grant aims to support organisations with demonstrated experience in providing early intervention activities for youth at high risk of heading down the wrong path.

Being awarded the grant marks an important milestone for IBFF and serves as a valuable reminder about the significant work the foundation is doing in the community to prevent youths from engaging in criminal activity or anti-social behaviour which could be detrimental to their future.

Inspiring Brighter Futures Foundation Founder and Chairman, John Godwin, said this is a great achievement for IBFF and will offer abundant opportunities for participants in the Onwards & Upwards Program now and into the future.

“We’re thrilled to receive the funding but also the recognition from our government,” Mr Godwin said.

“This really reinforces the importance of the work we’re doing with the youth of our community while also strengthening our credibility as a vital resource to young people in need.”

With IBFF’s signature Onwards & Upwards Program, IBFF offers invaluable self-development resources via one-on-one mentoring to inspire participants to imagine, plan and achieve a brighter future for themselves.

Over eight weeks, participants undertake personal development and mentoring which uncovers and embraces their values as an individual while taking a deep dive into their wellbeing, motivation, resilience and accountability.

We are proud to regularly farewell graduates who make their way out into the world with a renewed outlook and positive employment opportunities under their belt.
